My experience at Hongdae was mixed. I really enjoyed the music, atmosphere, and overall environment, but the service left a lot to be desired. The biggest issue was how the bill was handled. Before paying, I asked whether our group could have separate checks. I was told by a young Korean gentleman, either the waiter or cashier, that the owner did not allow separate checks and that the bill could not be split. As a result, more than $150 worth of food and drinks for other people ended up on my credit card. This created a significant inconvenience because I then had to collect payments from everyone individually. I don’t believe it is reasonable to require one guest to cover an entire group’s bill when separate payments could have prevented the problem. Had I known this policy in advance, I would have made different arrangements before ordering. There was also confusion regarding a bottle of soju. We were told that if we liked and followed the restaurant’s Instagram page, we could receive a free bottle. Based on that understanding, I took a bottle and poured drinks for our group. Parking for us was not difficult (although we did arrive midnight). The food was good I hustled don’t think the amount of food for the price was reasonable to me. We got the karagee chicken, chicken wings, spicy chicken with cheese and fries. The Spicey chicken is located as a meal and cost $28/$39? For the amount it came it was not worth that much. It barely filled one person up. The Spicey chicken wings were delicious, again 10 pieces for about the same price. I personally did not like the price for the amount of food, I do think other may differ. Overall I’d give this place a 3.5/4 ⭐️

Authentic Korean food! Really tasty and reminds me of the time when I was at Hongdae!

The atmosphere was great, perfect for hanging out with a few friends for some drinks in the evening. We ordered army stew and egg casserole, both of which were delicious. My favorite was their chicken feet; they were spicy but incredibly tasty.

The food was great. Ended up here last minute, couldn’t find anywhere open and this place didn’t disappoint. I would eat here again the chef knows his flavors not heavy on anything just perfectly seasoned. Also I have to mention, was confused why no one would come to the table but there is a button on the table that’s labeled press for staff, it should say press to order
